At KinderKare (Gachibowli, Hyderabad) I confronted the most horrible money minded people I've ever seen in my life. At the time of admission of my daughter to the daycare facility, we were told that if we stop availing their services before 15th of the month, they will cut half the month's fees and if we stop their services after 15th they would cut the entire month's fees and we were okay with that.
However due to health issues of my daughter, we decided to stop their services and went to the principal, Geeta Reddy to get the refund amount. She was supposed to refund me 3 months dues (September to November) as my daughter did not go to the day care after August 31st, however I was confused when I saw the amount of cheque, when asked about it she told me that half of September month fees is deducted just because I GAVE THE APPLICATION ON 7th September (though my daughter did not go to their day care at all in September). This is a HIGHLY IMMORAL practice followed by these people.
When I asked IF I'AM SUPPOSED TO IGNORE THE HEALTH OF MY DAUGHTER WHO WAS ABOUT TO GET HOSPITALIZED JUST TO ENSURE THAT I GIVE THEM THE APPLICATION BEFORE 1ST, she simply dodged the question and started shouting on me like some uncivilized person.
I think the only thing that these people are yet to do is to loot the parents on knife point (guess that day is not too far). I will never again go to Kinderkare and will share my experience not only in my Organization/HR but also to my group of friends in other corporates so that people like these do not get to loot anyone else in future.
