Hyderabad Preschools Review: Globe Tot'ers

My reviews on Hyderabad preschools- see here!

I often get personal emails from Hyderabad parents inquiring which school we finally settled with. Now that we've moved out from the school and the city and almost spend one term of Nursery and first term of Kindergarten 1 with Globe toters, I am gonna talk about our experience with the school. I know it's very late. Better late than never. Given that I have reviewed many schools in Hyderabad, from my personal point of view as a parent, I have never given a feedback on this school, here. Good things should be said and must be said louder. So, here you go.

Disclaimer: All that I scribble below are from our personal experience and are true incidents. I am a mother who trusted the school and sent a child there. I am neither asked nor paid for writing this note. Purely meant to help parents who are sailing in the same boat.

GoodBye Hyderabad, Good Morning Bangalore!

At last the much awaited day is right here. One of those busy days, packing, cleaning, loading, standing  and running a lot! But it was worth it. Liya loved the whole thing end to end.

All set to go!

Yet Another....

It's been a long gap.. I really can't believe that nearly an year has passed by, without being blogged about Liya's life. So much has happened in L's life, yet I haven't found some time to record those memorable events. Poor Mom!

Technically, life in India was suppose to be much easier for me in many ways. Unlike in the US, I had a maid to do household chores and a cook who takes care of cooking lunch and dinner. However, practically, it was the opposite. Ever since I enrolled into a work integrated MS degree, I have been drowning in the flood of work, books, assignments, lectures, exams and most importantly handling my little girl in the midst of all these... I hope I will be able to get back to blogging shortly. In sha Allah!

Hyderabad Preschools - Esperanza Review

Esperanza

Esperanza is very popular among IT folks. This is because they have tie up with NASSCOM and which brings a very attractive package for parents working for NASSCOM affiliated companies. Suiting for people who make it a routine to stay back office late.. ;)

Why popular?

Wordless Wednesday :: Dancing in the road

Taken from the road side of one of the busiest area, the IT hub of Hyderabad... On our way back to home, during our search for preschools... we were waiting for Pappa to return from office... This is how she spent nearly an hour!

Response from KinderKare Gachibowli for my review : Disgusting!

Today, early in the morning I was more than happy to see that KinderKare, Gachibowli has sent a response to the post I made after my bad experience at their school. However, as I read through,  I seriously thought if they wouldn't have sent this mail. The only word I could express my feeling is SHOCK... SHOCK... I am pasting the mail as it's below, adding my comments in BLUE highlight. I would really appreciate if my readers could take a moment and tell me if this is something you expect from a respected school management? Would you send your child to this school, after reading this mail. I would expect to read with a neutral mindset and share your honest opinions.

...and Liya goes to Nursery!

On 14th Nov, Liya started her official pre-schooling! Yay, Liya goes to nursery. I still can not believe how fast time flies by... my tiny bug has grown into a little woman!!!

In her school uniform
After a lot of searches, researches, analysis, thinking and rethinking, we have finally decided upon Globe Toter, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Liya absolutely loved the school. On her first day, she was all excited to go to new school. On the way she threw up and lost her mood. So, she cried when J left for office. Even so, according to her teacher, she did a great job. Her teacher certified her "Brave Girl"!!!!  Thank God!

Hyderabad Preschools: Strawberry fields - Review

We did not see a chance for a quick move from Hyderabad, so we began looking for preschools. The very first school to check was Strawberry fields.
SF is another popular network in Hyderabad. I just learned that they have started a new school in Paradise circle.

Why Strawberry Fields?

KinderKare Gachibowli: Bad Experience

KinderKare is one of the popular daycare cum preschools in Hyderabad, located in Gachibowli. But, we had a really bad experience with them and chose not to go ahead with the school.

Don't forget to read the follow up-  Response from KinderKare Gachibowli for my review : Disgusting!

Why did we shortlist?

Hyderabad Preschools : Sunshine Begumpet -review

Sunshine, Begumpet

This is where Liya went for nearly 1.5 months. Soon after we landed in Hyderabad, we just had to find a daycare and this one was closer to the place where we stay as of now. Moreover, it was on my way to office so was convenient for me to drop and pick her.
We opted for Sunshine, without a second thought because I had received an awesome feedback from an ex-colleague plus we did not get time to go and search for schools. Hence opted this as a temporary set up until we find a good school to put her in nursery.

Search for Pre schools in Hyderabad...

I have heard so much and so much about the difficulties in finding a pre school in Indian metros. It's not that India has got very less options but we have more schools than the no. of kids in the entire city, I guess...lol! At every corner of cities, you will be bombarded with millions of billboards, advertisements, fake promises and some sugar coated words like 'holistic approach, child friendly, learning through fun, credibility, vast experience, excellent teachers etc etc. But the more you enquire you will know how far they live from their promises...

Look who is back...!!

Yes, I am back to PL, my fav place in the cyber world. There are so much to say... just too much! Regarding my regular posts, yes bucket list updates from June onwards are in my highest priority list..:)

So, what's up with little girl and us? We had spent 2 weeks in Kerala- one week with my family and another with my in laws... We had no breathing time there. Though Liya was enjoying all pampering, she was badly missing her Pappa. J had to leave to Hyderabad after 2 days and most of our vacation Liya and I spent with family. It was more like her first time without Pappa around for such a long gap. Indeed it was a nightmare. She behaved more like the 'bride' whose husband left for abroad after a week of wedding..:) So desperate and gloomy!! Believe me, she didn't eat anything in these two weeks except one MAC cheese in every morning and needless to say she was more than happy to gobble all the ice creams and chocolates, despite all her tensions and gloominess.

Flying to US: Part 2- At Hyderabad airport

We reached Hyderabad airport at 12.00 o'clock in the night. Liya was already in her deep sleep mode, and she was peacefully sleeping on my shoulder. Things moved much faster and everything was normal until we reach immigration counter. There was a long queue, and I was waiting a bit away from queue, taking care of 2 cabin bags, 2 laptop bags and my little girl. Jazeel was standing in the queue, waiting for our turn. Little Liya might have been under an impression that she is sleeping in her bed, in our home and never knew that she is at the door steps of a long journey.

Flying to US: Part 1

At last the most awaited day-29th Oct 2010 - the long journey to US - reached and I must say that I was very much anxious about hundred things around Liya and could not actually enjoy the excitement. I could not anticipate how my little girl would handle the 18 hours long flight journey, the waiting in the airports, immigration lines etc. But, thank god, it turned out to be a wonderful trip, she enjoyed sleeping in the basinet, and I could kill my time looking at her innocent face..:)

Another long drive HYD --> CLT

Yes, as I mentioned in my previous post, we vacated our flat and drove down to hometown in the very next day early morning. I had planned to prepare and carry lunch and break fast and hence got up really early. After a while Liya also got up and she started screaming. She was not comfortable to sleep in the room without cot and bed. She did not like the idea of sleeping in the floor on the blanket and did not get a sound sleep too.

Empty house...

As we are traveling to abroad for few months, we packed up all house hold items back to our homeland and decided to drive down. The 'packing and moving' day was just an hectic day in my life. We were shifting through a professional packers and movers service. Liya was extremely happy to see the house where everything was shattered and no more child proof. She ran between the big carton boxes, she did mouth every small thing she came across... It was all exciting things for her, she didn't know what's happening though. She tried to 'pack' her dress and toys in the small bags too.. :)

Photo: Liya sleeping in her car seat in the balcony while packing and shifting was progressing inside house!!
